Niecy fills us in on the changes in her life, her curves and why being yourself and staying true to who YOU are is very important. Wait a minute did you catch that? Self-proclaimed MGirl... You gotta love it!
Being Curvy “I've always been comfortable in my own skin. If it's the figure you have you can either have it and be happy with it or not...I choose to be happy with it. One thing I've found is that there is always somebody who will sign up for your foolishness. Someone who will like your body just the way it is and likes you just the way you are so celebrate it with them.”
The Signature Flower “When I started in television it was just a form of branding. There weren't any other black women doing what I was doing at that time and I know it wouldn't stay that way forever. The flower was just something extra to help me stand out. Now, I love it and I feel naked without it. Some people like and some don't... When I go on red carpets now the photographers get mad if I don't have it on.. They're like 'where's your flower'then they might take just two shots of me and stop.”
Upcoming Gigs “I have a role coming up in a movie Jerry Buckheimer is producing for Disney called G Force... It's an animation and action film... It's delicious!”
Being Newly Single “It's interesting. At first I was nervous.. I was like 'I don't know what's going to happen out there'...but I notice not much has changed it's still foolishness and mayhem out there. I will say that a transition is always going to cost you something. This is the place where I'm at and I'm going to be the best that I can be right now... You can take these lemons and make lemonade or you can put a little vodka in there too and keep pushing.”
